Product Development Engineer – DES in Malaysia

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new products like medical education task trainer, models, holder systems and accessories
  • Product design, development and visualization using multiple state of the art 3D tools software/scan-ner/printer
  • Be involved in project meetings and project requirement definitions, also take over project lead
  • Manage projects from initial phase until transfer to production and rollout incl. project controlling
  • Coordinate tasks to produce prototypes, small series, custom-made models
  • Document projects and transfer to production with instructions for assembling, quality control
  • Close cooperation with DES and production team in Malaysia, global sales, and product management team
  • Investigate and manage suppliers and partners where needed

Principal Duties

  • Planning, conception and manufacturing of molds and new models
  • Improvement / maintenance of existing models and molds

Manufacturing of models & molds under the supervision of the R&D head

  • Execution of all manual development works
  • Manufacturing of templates for new and existing models
  • Maintenance and repair tasks of existing molds
  • Model re–designs and adjustments
  • Involvement during the 0–series for quality assembling support
  • Project documentation
  • Aware of the significant aspect related to their works
  • Contribute to the achievement of environmental management programs
